Trump has already shut down his blog

Donald Trump reportedly hopes to be reinstated as President in August

The DHS, Imperial Restrooms, and office of Mr Trump were approached for comment by The Independent. The Washington Post reported in May that the webpage had "in the last week been shared to Facebook on average fewer than 2,000 times a day - a staggering drop from previous year, when his Facebook page fielded tens of millions of comments, shares, and other interactions every week". But the blog reportedly wasn't getting much traction.

At the time of the "launch", such as it was, senior advisor to Trump Jason Miller told Fox News that this wasn't supposed to be the new answer to Trump's canceled Twitter presence.

Mr Trump lost to Democrat challenger Joe Biden in the November 2020 US election but has refused to accept defeat, so far launching failed court cases and inciting US Capitol riots in his denial. Trump's accounts-which had tens of millions of followers-on Facebook, Twitter, and other Big Tech sites were suspended after the January 6 Capitol incident. It will happen soon. Groups on the platform dedicated to QAnon and pro-Trump conspiracy theories have tens of thousands of members - many of whom hang on every word the former President says.

But after an underwhelming few weeks, the former reality star has quietly removed the blog, which his spokesman admitted "will not be returning".

The blog-like offering was launched in early May.

Aid For Rebuilding Gaza Should Not "Benefit" Hamas, Warns Top US Diplomat
The truce remains tenuous since tensions are still high in Jerusalem and the fate of the Palestinian families is not yet resolved. The Biden administration is facing pressure from within the Democratic party to recalibrate its stance on Israel.

Trump and his political allies have long accused social media companies of being hostile to conservative viewpoints. Social engagement across the Web with Trump's blog - a measure of the likes, reactions, comments and shares on some of the biggest social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest - peaked at 159,000 interactions on its first day, according to data from the social media analytics firm BuzzSumo.

But for now Trump is without a platform once again, and the New York Times reports that some close advisors were "frustrated" by Trump's totally in-character decision to shut the thing down after just a month.

That response rate was pitifully low by Trump standards.

Trump's blog at first was billed as a new "communications platform". The old link now redirects to a webpage urging people to give their contact information to a Trump campaign mailing list.
