Shooting At Oneida Casino Leaves 3 Dead, Including Gunman

BREAKING: Shooting at Oneida Casino near Green Bay

Three people are dead, including the suspected shooter, after a shooting at Oneida Casino in Ashwaubenon Saturday night, local law enforcement officials confirm.

Investigators believe the suspect had a "personal relationship" with an employee at the Duck Creek restaurant inside the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center, which is attached to the Oneida Casino near Green Bay, Wisconsin, Pawlak said.

'He was targeting a specific victim who was not there, but he made a decision to still shoot some of the victim's friends or co-workers, it appears, ' Lt Pawlak said.

WISN12 reported that a shooter killed one person and wounded five others at the Oneida casino before police killed them, according to a 1 source familiar with the investigation but was unable to speak publicly. "Once we heard the shots, we knew this is no joke anymore".

Yatim said the shooting began in a casino restaurant. This story was updated to remove the word "mass" shooting since more information was made available to reflect a smaller amount of people shot.

"Pretty thankful we could get out of there, and all of us are safe", Luehring said.

Attorney General Josh Kaul tweeted shortly before 10pm that the scene "is contained".

CNN has reached out to the area fire department, police, sheriff's office and nearby hospitals for more information.

Gambler Max Westphal said he was standing outside after being evacuated for what he thought was a minor issue. There had to have been 50 cop cars that came by on the highway.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers tweeted: "Kathy and I were devastated to hear about the shooting at the Oneida Casino complex tonight".

A spokesman for the Oneida tribe said they are shutting down all five casinos on their reservation. That "brings every agency from around the area to the casino, to the Radisson", he said of the large law enforcement presence.
