‘Major’ pain: Biden’s dog involved in 2nd biting incident

Major one of the family dogs of U.S. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden explores the South Lawn after on his arrival from Delaware at the White House in Washington

The Biden dogs were returned home to DE following the first incident, but President Biden said it was a planned trip and that the dogs had not been banished.

It came three weeks after the first biting incident, which occurred on March 8, when a Secret Service agent suffered a minor injury.

Michael LaRosa, Mrs Biden's spokesman, said of Monday's incident: "Major is still adjusting to his new surroundings and he nipped someone while on a walk".

One of President Joe Biden's dogs, Major, has been involved in another biting incident. The employee was working at the time and needed to stop in order to receive treatment from the White House medical unit.

Major is 3 years old, and was adopted by the Bidens from a shelter in 2018 to serve as a companion for their older dog, Champ, who is roughly 13 and has not been implicated in either of the biting incidents. Champ, the older of the two, joined the Bidens in late 2008.

President Biden's dog Major on Monday afternoon bit another employee, who then required medical attention. CNN first reported the bite, adding that the employee worked for the National Park Service.

Woman dead, 6 hospitalized after stabbing incident in Canada
A forensics police officer collects evidence inside the Lynn Valley Library, in North Vancouver, B.C., Saturday, March 27, 2021. A lone suspect was arrested and there was no ongoing threat to the public, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a tweet .

However, as CNN previously reported, Major is known to "display agitated behavior on multiple occasions, including jumping, barking, and "charging" at staff and security".

The President said Major was being trained in DE but disputed the idea that the pup had been sent away after the incident.

He said the dogs went to Wilmington because he was going to be out of town.

Mr Biden explained the biting by saying that the dog had "turned a corner, there's two people he doesn't know at all, you know, and they move and he moves to protect". I was going to be away for two, so we took him home, ' Biden said at the time. He just - all he does is lick them and wag his tail. But.

In November, Biden slipped while playing with Major and injured his foot, necessitating the temporary use of a walking boot. "I realise some people, understandably, are afraid of dogs to begin with".
