US Health Agency Issues New Guidelines to Safely Reopen Schools

CDC director speaks out on reopening schools

About 115,000 children in the U.S. live in a county considered "low" or "moderate transmission" where the CDC recommends K-12 schools open for full in-person instruction. He pledged in December to get most schools reopened during his first 100 days, but specified last month that the goal applied only to schools that teach through eighth grade.
