Australia and Greece hope to stop Spain in ATP Tour

Rafael Nadal's Australian Open preparations suffered a setback when the world No2 pulled out of his ATP Cup match against Australia on Tuesday.

Nadal tweet: "Hi all, we have decided with #TeamSpain and my team, to not play today the first match of the @ATPCup here in #Melbourne since I have a stiff low back".

'Hopefully I'll be better for Thursday.

Nadal was due to play the second singles against Alex De Minaur in Spain's tie against hosts Australia at the Rod Laver Arena but pulled out hours before his match.

Roberto Bautista Agut, who went 6-0 at last year's ATP Cup without losing a set, will play Alex de Minaur in the number one singles match, and world number 16 Pablo Carreno Busta will step in to compete at number two singles against John Millman, as per the ATP Tour website.

Serbia fans chanted and waved their national flag as Djokovic beat Denis Shapovalov 7-5, 7-5 to force a deciding doubles match, then combined with Filip Krajinovic for a 7-5, 7-6 (4) win over Milos Raonic and Shapovalov.

Mummy with gold tongue found in Egypt
Artefacts such as remnants of ancient scrolls or statues depicting people buried at the site were found by archaeologists as well. The plastered layers, or cartonnage, encasing one of these mummies has golden decorations of Osiris, the statement said.

Along with this, Italy overcame world number three Dominic Thiem and Austria 2-1, with Matteo Berrettini the match-winner after beating Thiem in singles and doubles action in straight sets.

"I'm really looking forward to playing this event and the Australian Open".

While the 12-team ATP Cup begins tomorrow night, matches across four separate ATP and WTA events have begun as the build up to the Australian Open continues.

It will be Federer's first match since he was knocked out of the quarter-final stage of last year's Australian Open.

Having pushed Djokovic to five sets in the Australian Open final previous year, Thiem is among the top contenders looking to dethrone the Serb at the February 8-21 Grand Slam.
