National Hockey League postpones Tuesday’s Hurricanes-Predators game

NHL postpones Carolina-Nashville game over Covid-19 issues

The action comes after the Canes' game Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators was also called off. Both the Hurricanes and Predators are scheduled for two more games this week.

It looks like they won't be playing at all in the immediate future.

The NHL has postponed its first game since the league's season began, calling off Tuesday night's game between Carolina and the Predators hours after the Hurricanes won the first of a two-game set in Nashville.

Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell confirmed three players on Carolina's roster have tested positive for COVID-19 but added one test was a false positive, according to The Athletic's Sara Civian.

Inaugural poet Amanda Gorman reads The Hill We Climb | Arts
Scripture tells us to envision that everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree and no one should make them afraid . She looked to orators from throughout history who have spoken not just about a divided America, but also a united America.

Carolina captain Jordan Staal was placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list on Friday and has not played since a season-opening 3-0 win at Detroit last Thursday.

The rescheduled dates for the games will be announced at a later time. The Red Wings' Robbi Fabbri and Adam Erne did not play Monday afternoon at home against Columbus after being placed in the protocol. He missed training camp because of visa issues and is not eligible to join the team until Saturday in Dallas.

The Stars are scheduled to play their season opener at home against Nashville on Friday.

This marks the NHL's first game-day postponement due to COVID-19 this season. All of Dallas' players and staff have reportedly recovered without suffering serious complications from the virus.
