CSK's most successful batsman will make comeback with IPL 2021

Harbhajan Singh

Chennai Super Kings management has chose to retain cricketer Suresh Raina going into the mini-auction ahead of the the 14th season of the Indian Premier League.

Earlier the day, Harbhajan Singh had been released as his contract expired and Shane Watson had announced his retirement.

Harbhajan was one of the two CSK players, along with Suresh Raina, who chose to skip the 13th edition of the IPL in the UAE past year, held in a bio-secure bubble amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was one of the first Indian players to be released by an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. Harbhajan Singh, playing for CSK, took 7 wickets in 13 matches in IPL 2018.

Bruins to retire Willie O’Ree’s jersey in 2021
O'Ree, who was legally blind in one eye, played two seasons for the Bruins, retiring from professional hockey in 1979. The players will wear the stickers from January 16 and throughout Black History Month in February.

The 40-year-old turbunator has played 160 IPL matches and has 150 wickets to his name.

Finch will now be looking for a ninth IPL team after a poor IPL season by his standards in 2020, with just one half-century in 12 innings, while his recent stuttering form with the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL won't have helped.

Moreover, the likes of Murali Vijay and Piyush Chawla are also likely to be released while the fate of Suresh Raina and Kedar Jadhav lies in MS Dhoni's hands with the CSK skipper expected to take a final call on the duo.

Harbhajan Singh has tweeted that he is now leaving the Chennai Super Kings.

The Royals - which won the only title in 2008 - released eight players, while retaining a 17-member core, and Badale was happy with the list.
