Ravens To Release Mark Ingram

Baltimore Ravens v Los Angeles Rams

"We are making the tough business decision to terminate Mark Ingram's contract", Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta stated.

Ingram's release will leave $1.3M in dead money against the Ravens' 2021 cap, the balance of his prorated bonus.

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram was notably a healthy scratch for the team's eventual loss at the hands of the surging Buffalo Bills this past weekend, with the AFC North franchise going with the tandem of rookie J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards in the backfield.

Ingram will wind up spending less than two full years as a Raven. "Mark is a talented victor who brought passion, toughness, leadership and chemistry to the Ravens".

Fiat Chrysler and PSA Group merger into Stellantis is complete
When asked if options could include finding a new local partner, Tavares said the company "would not exclude anything". Tavares said the task force of Stellantis' top five executives would work on solutions for a comeback there.

Ingram was signed by Baltimore as a free agent in March 2019 after playing eight years with the New Orleans Saints.

In 10 National Football League seasons, Ingram has rushed for 7,324 yards and 62 touchdowns. He spent November 23 through December 5 on reserve/COVID-19 and missed one game. Few players have been embraced so strongly in the locker room in such a short run in Baltimore. He started the next week, too, but the first snap of the game was the only one that Ingram played in the Ravens' 47-42 victory over the Cleveland Browns on December 14. Whether you were a young player or a veteran, Ingram reached out to offer advice on what it takes to play in the league and provide some words to boost confidence.

Ingram was a staple of the Ravens offense during his initial season in 2019 where he rushed for 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns as he helped the team win the AFC North. He's played in seven postseason games with 299 yards and one TD on 71 rushing attempts and 10 receptions for 57 yards.

In a Twitter post, Ingram thanked the Ravens for "being a first class organization" and promised the "best is still ahead".
