Serge Ibaka agrees to two-year deal with Clippers; Gasol also leaving?

Ibaka became a free agent on Friday night and it seemed as though he was contemplating between the Raptors, Los Angeles Clippers, Lakers, and even the Brooklyn Nets.

Ibaka had multiple suitors, including the Toronto Raptors with whom he won a title in 2019.

Ibaka reportedly signed a two-year, $19 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, a development that he appeared to confirm in his goodbye post, delivered on Twitter and Instagram on Sunday afternoon.

"So thank you Toronto".

"I want to thank Larry Tanenbaum and MLSE and the whole Toronto Raptors organization", Ibaka wrote. I am one of yours forever. "It is really a great organization that takes care of its players and I'm thankful that I became an NBA Champion with them".

Liverpool boss Klopp: Pickford decision hard to deal with
All players are incredibly disciplined; there were some cases of course, but they really know about the situation. We are in close contact with him all of the time ", said Klopp. "We have the situation we have".

Ibaka arrived in February of 2017 through a trade with the Orlando Magic, in exchange for Terence Ross and a future first-round pick.

Later that year, he signed a three-year contract worth US$65-million and would eventually play a crucial role in the Raptors' championship run in 2019.

The 31-year-old Congolese big man found a strong rhythm playing up front alongside Marc Gasol for most of the last two seasons in Toronto, averaging 15.4 points, 8-1 rebounds and connecting on 38.5% of 3.3 long-range attempts.

It's an opportune time for Ibaka to take advantage of free agency, coming off one of the best seasons of his career.
