Chris Hemsworth reveals whether upcoming 'Thor' movie will be his last

Chris Hemsworth Thor lightning

Chris Hemsworth has stated his desire to stay on as Thor beyond Thor: Love and Thunder, in good news for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More fun, in fact, than he had reading the script for Thor: Ragnarok.

"Are you insane?! I'm not going into any retirement period (laughs)", Chris laughed about the question with Elle Man. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Love and Thunder and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood's YouTube channel for more original video content.

Moreover, teasing us about the upcoming MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie, the 37-year-old actor shared with Elle Man that after reading the script for Thor: Love and Thunder, he can say that he is very excited and jokingly added that in this production, there will be a lot of love and a lot of lightning.

The Australian - who has played the character of Thor since 2011 across eight films - is clearly still as enthusiastic as ever about being involved. With Natalie Portman set to return as the Norse god's love interest - Jane Foster - as well as set to wield the mythical hammer Mjolnir, the initial details surrounding Thor 4 had implied Hemsworth's exit.

Lampard insists he never wanted Chelsea to become 'an academy club'
The really smart thing Liverpool have done is to believe in their coach and believe in his system for several years. Chelsea have spent more than £200million on new recruits in the busiest summer of any Premier League club.

Also starring Christian Bale as the antagonist, Thor: Love and Thunder is slated to release on February 18, 2022. Thor is far too young for that. I'm only 1500 years old! It is definitely not a film that I say goodbye to...

Chris also believes that the upcoming film will be even better than 2017's "Thor Ragnarok" which starred the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, and Tessa Thompson.

Although 'Avengers: Endgame' drew a line under a number of Marvel characters, such as Captain America, Black Widow (bar her standalone movie) and Iron Man, characters such as Thor, Hawkeye, and The Hulk are still going strong. "At least I hope so". Beyond that, though, we don't know much.
