The family and friends are seen at the funeral service for Bernard Prendergast, Sarah Caisip's father, in Brisbane.

Caisip had applied to the state government for permission to visit her father before he died, but her application was only approved on Friday, two days after his death.

"The only thing that matters today is that Sarah can be with her 11-year-old sister Isabel and her mother Merna while they mourn the passing of their father and husband Bernard at Mount Gravatt today", he told radio 2GB.

The prime minister said he "didn't really care" about the premier's comment as the issue at hand was not about either of the leaders.

Sarah Caisip was forced to wear full PPE to see her father's body in a private viewing, after she was banned from attending his funeral.

"Let me make it very clear: I don't make those decisions", the premier said.

"It was Father's Day on the weekend and I'm just thinking of Sarah, who had to go through that day in a hotel in isolation and there she is today", Morrison said.

'We know this is tough, but this about preventing more people dying, ' the spokesman said.

Mr Morrison said he had called Ms Palaszczuk this morning to make the case for the young woman, after hearing her story on Ray Hadley's 4BC radio show, but went public after the conversation did not end well.

The last COVID-19 case in Bateman's Bay was in mid-August, but Dr Young said they were "trying to project two weeks in advance".

Health Minister Greg Hunt again urged the Queensland Premier to allow her to attend wearing a mask.
