A ruling is expected by next week when we will finally see if Johnny Depp can officially be known as Johnny "Wife Beating" Depp.

"At its very core, we say it demonstrates that she is the abuser, not Mr. Depp..."

"He is no wife-beater."

The topic of shifting dates has been brought up throughout the case, with both Heard and her sister Whitney, who also gave evidence, both shifting the dates of the so-called "Disco Bloodbath" incident.

Heard, on the other hand, has been described as "unhinged", a theme that was continued in the closing arguments from Depp's legal team yesterday.

Making a statement on the steps of the Royal Courts of Justice in London, Heard, 34, said that following their 2017 divorce: 'I just wanted to move on with my life.

Lawyers, journalists and members of the public, spread across several video-linked courtrooms to allow for social distancing, have heard lurid details of the couple's tempestuous relationship. At one point, excrement was left in their bed - whether by a dog or a person is disputed.

Shortly after 4pm, Heard made a statement outside the law courts.

Wass said that the first year of the relationship, during which Depp was sober, was "idyllic", but that the violence started in 2013 after he relapsed. Heard, he added, had "deliberately sought to hide or play down her misuse of drink or illegal drugs".

Kansas City metro under flood advisory as storms, rain move through region
Expect a mix of partly to mostly cloudy skies tomorrow with scattered showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon to evening. Areas that don't get any rain will see highs in the upper 80s, cities that do get rain will be in the low to mid 80s.

Heard, who was a witness in the defamation trial over a 2018 article that dubbed Johnny a "wife-beater," said she stood by her evidence before thanking her supporters - all while Depp fans screamed "Justice for Johnny, Johnny is innocent", and "It takes two to Tango".

"He has never hit a woman in his entire life".

Wass said that for Depp the "combination ... of drink, drugs, jealousy and anger was lethal".

Amber Heard arrived at court with her sister on multiple occasions.

Depp acknowledged heavy drug use, saying he took marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and magic mushrooms, and became addicted to opioid painkillers.

Henriquez wasn't the only witness in court this week.

Amber Heard arrives at High Court, in London, Monday, July 27, 2020.

In his final remarks, Sherborne said: "What is important to Mr Depp is clearing his name of these appalling allegations, expanded on as it has been over the last four years, as a result of which he has lost nothing less than everything, he would say. The Court has heard three weeks of evidence, and despite a wholesale attack on many aspects of Mr Depp's lifestyle, the defendants have not come close to proving the substantial truth of their serious allegation". He also used crass language about women in texts to friends that were read out in court - despite his stated aspiration to be a "Southern gentleman". "He is no wife beater", Sherborne told the court, adding her "lack of credibility" had been proven in the evidence she had given. "You have given me so much strength and I send it back to you", concluded Johnny Depp's ex-wife.

Johnny Depp's legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard has taken just one more turn for the odd, leading to a series of events culminating with The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke challenging Elon Musk to a bare-knuckle fight in defense of Johnny.
