Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Apple CEO Tim Prepare dinner, Fb CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google mother or father Alphabet, were being prepared to testify almost on Monday just before the Residence Antitrust Subcommittee.

According to a report in Protocol, the congressional hearing is likely to be postponed in the wake of the death of civil rights icon and Democratic Congressman John Lewis.

Over the last couple of days, Republicans on the complete committee have pushed to bring Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to testify throughout Monday's hearing, however members of the antitrust subcommittee state that Dorsey will not supply statement. Advertisement Prior to news of a possible delay, Reuters reported that all four CEOs planned to appear virtually rather than in person due to the coronavirus. In the wake of an Axios report, the committee has confirmed that the hearing has been rescheduled to July 29th at 12PM Eastern.

Months in the making, the antitrust hearing aims to have four of the most powerful CEOs in tech defend accusations of monopolistic behaviors. The four tech giants are under antitrust scrutiny from several government entities in the US and overseas.

Lawmakers are approaching the end of a probe into whether the tech companies misused their market dominance to unfairly stifle competition. Patrick Spence, CEO of Sonos, told the lawmakers in January that Google attempted and tried to restrict their innovations.
