Incredible 10-Year Time Lapse of Sun From NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory [Video]

Compiling one photo every hour, the movie condenses a decade of the Sun into 61 minutes.

NASA has released a 10-year time-lapse video of the Sun.

NASA has released a video, embedded below, that shows it in a way you probably have never seen, and maybe never even imagined.

The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) was launched back in February 2010 with a mission to reveal the workings of our enigmatic star, and shed light on how space weather could influence and disrupt life on Earth.

In order to capture the Sun's movement, scientists use special devices, such as the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) which is created to keep an eye on the star.

Throughout the duration of the video, notable solar events, including the rise and fall of the solar cycle, transitioning planets, and solar eruptions can also be seen.

Trump Tweets Video of Fan in The Villages Yelling 'White Power'
"What he did see was tremendous enthusiasm from his many supporters", White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a brief statement. The man responds by twice saying, " White power ", as a woman beside him chants, " Trump! ".

NASA will continue to keep a watch on the Sun so that no significant development misses its observations. The SDO collected over 435 million images of the Sun also in the same period from different angles.

A few dark frames are caused by the Moon or Earth briefly eclipsing the Sun.

Firstly, the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) is a battery of four telescopes created to photograph the Sun's surface and atmosphere. A longer blackout in 2016 was caused by a temporary issue with the AIA instrument that was successfully resolved after a week.

Extreme Ultraviolet Variability Experiment (EVE), meanwhile, measures fluctuations in the Sun's ultraviolet output. Actually, all these footage have been taken by NASA's "Solar Dynamics Observatory" (SDO). It accomplishes these tasks by determining how the Sun's magnetic field is generated, and how this stored magnetic energy is converted and released into the heliosphere and geospace in the form of solar wind, energetic particles, and aberrations in the solar irradiance.

The space agency has an online library of the SDO's greatest shots in the last decade, including odd plasma tornados in 2012 and dark patches called "coronal holes" where extreme ultraviolet emission is low.
