Google’s Verified Calls to help you better tackle pesky calls

Google’s Verified Calls will make it more obvious why businesses are calling you

If you're using Google's Phone app, you'll soon be able to know why a business establishment is calling before you even pick up.

Google is looking to crack down on pesky marketing callers.

"Google Phone", one of the popular mobile applications of the US-based technology giant Google, allows users to call each other as can be understood from its name. If a business decides to not participate in this, then the user will also not receive any reason behind the call.

Kathy Kraninger, the current chief of the CFPB , has said she believed the president could fire her at any time. The CFPB was the brainchild of MA senator and former Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren .

However, this Program of Google's Phone app is still in its early stages and Google is yet to clarify which business companies will be availing the program at the moment and how many companies have enrolled so far. In a new aid website page discovered by Android Law enforcement, the tech large goes into depth about a function referred to as "Verified Calls". Details like the business's phone number, the number of the user it is calling, and the reason for the call such as "Medicines are now ready to be picked up" will be required by Google, in order for that business to become a Verified partner. This means that you can see the reason before picking a call from the business. Any personally identifiable information from your Google Account isn't involved Verified Calls. Google says the feature will be turned on by default on compatible devices, although users can choose to turn it off. You can turn it off by opening the Phone app. However, it can be disabled in the Settings under the Caller ID and Spam category. Under "Personal info", select Contact info and then Phone.

With the support page up, the feature could be all ready to run. According to Google, the service will only work on the Pixel phones, which somehow clears the air that the feature will not be available on every Android smartphone. Remember though, many phone manufacturers have their own dialer app.
