Nick Cordero's Wife Says He's Taking a "Step Forward" After Setback

Nick Cordero and Amanda Kloots

Broadway star Nick Cordero's tearful wife Amanda Kloots says the dancer is "going downhill".

"It's been another roller coaster but this one goes out to the doctors and nurses at Cedars-Sinai, the power of prayer, and the power of energy and support", she said.

"We took him off blood thinners but that again was going to cause some clotting in the right leg, so the right leg will be amputated today", she said at the time.

"Nicks (sic) right lung is looking better", she wrote on Tuesday in an Instagram story, alongside a photo of her husband.

Amanda Kloots and Nick Cordero attend the Beyond Yoga x Amanda Kloots Collaboration Launch Event on August 27, 2019 in New York City with their son Elvis.

Many feared dead as PIA passenger plane crashes near Karachi
Gul's last word was "roger" in response to the control tower's directive that two runways are open for emergency landing. Ambulances were on their way to the airport and there were reports of some injuries among residents on the ground.

Since being diagnosed with COVID-19 in late March, the actor has been hospitalised and placed in an induced coma before enduring further complications relating to the deadly virus, including leg amputation, irregular heartbeats and septic shock. It's not how his story ends, so just keep us in your thoughts and prayers today. Kloots said. "I have my masters in OPTIMISM!"

In a separate post, she asked for appeals to heaven.

Cordero was nominated for a Tony Award in 2014 for his role in "Bullets Over Broadway".

Fans used the hashtag #WakeUpNick to share messages of hope for the actor, and later, after he woke up, the hashtag #offthevent to pray for him to get off the ventilator.

Kloots offered no other details on what exactly Cordero's "bad morning" entailed, but just a day earlier she explained that an infection was still present in Cordero's left lung.
