Ubisoft sues Google, Apple over Rainbow Six Siege clone Area F2

Ubisoft sues Apple over Alibaba 'Rainbow Six' game clone in App Store

However, much odd is the fact that Ubisoft made a decision to sue Apple and Google rather than taking the developer of the game (Area F2) into account.

Area F2 was released by Ejoy.com, which has a registered address located in Hong Kong. Ubisoft says that Area F2 is a "near carbon copy" of Rainbow Six Siege where "virtually every aspect" is cloned from R6S. However, the game is not free-to-play or available on mobile, and it appears that Area F2 is exploiting this particular gap in the market. Ubisoft previously notified both Apple and Google of the infringement to no avail, according to the report.

To Ubisoft's credit, Area F2 really does look like Rainbow Six Siege.

Ubisoft highlights that these companies refused to withdraw the copy from their virtual stores. Apple, Google, or Alibaba are yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Tracked Vaccine From Moderna Shows Promise In Initial Trial
The company's statement suggested the vaccine was well tolerated in people who received it in the Phase 1 dosing trial. The people on the trial were taking either a low, middle or high dose.

For years, mobile stores have been host to copies of popular games, either misleading or straight up lying to customers in order to entice users to download their games. Ubisoft went on to elaborate that the similarities can not "seriously be disputed" as "virtually every aspect" of Area F2 has been cloned from their game. Area F2 is distributed in the stores of Apple and Goggle, so Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against all companies.

Rainbow Six: Siege, a tactical shooter game that lets players fight enemies as part of an global counterterrorism unit, was released in 2014.

Ubisoft explains in their complaint that R6 Siege is one of their most "valuable intellectual properties" and they believe Area F2 is built to "piggyback" on their popular game. Would you like to see Rainbow Six: Siege come to mobile?
