Coronavirus in Norfolk: Parents praise fitness guru Joe Wicks's online PE lessons | Education

He said: "Starting from Monday, every single day from Monday to Friday, I'm going to do a live workout called "PE with Joe" on my YouTube channel The Body Coach TV".

In an Instagram video, Joe, 33, known as The Body Coach, showed the audience his camera and lighting set-up in the living room where he films.

Mr Wicks tweeted: "Thank you for sharing and telling your family & friends and helping to get more people involved.
"How incredible is it to think that over 950,000 households around the world all tuned in live to exercise together". I can't straighten it'.

"I'm going to take this over". But suddenly it feels small and stressful'.

The fitness blogger, who has more than 3 million followers on Instagram, launched online physical education lessons to help people stay active during the lockdown.

Rhys Edmonds, 10, and Nathan Edmonds, 5, take part in Joe Wicks PE exercises on YouTube.

"His YouTube streams were viewed en masse, so they offered him a deal to host a daily show for them that would air to the nation to get kids and adults on the go every morning".

'Nothing is signed yet but they are all hopeful something will work out'.

Joe Wicks has become the nation's new PE teacher following school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Talk to The sun, a source said: "Channel 4 has already worked with Joe and was directly over him once they saw that he was going to host live workouts every day".

Complete with a warmup, workout and cool down, the 30-minute workouts are loved by the kids.

Wicks announced last week that he would be running the sessions five days a week, Monday to Friday, pledging to "get your kids moving, feeling energised, positive, optimistic".

As well as tens of thousands of families in the United Kingdom, people tuned in from as far as Brazil, Jamaica and Canada. Because when the schools closed, there is no more PE. "Then I came up with the idea of PE with Joe".

Another added: "Joining for the third time and it's still fantastic!"
