Dog absolutely loses it when her astronaut owner returns from space

She landed in Kazakhstan on February 6 with two colleagues aboard a Russian capsule.

With her tail in rapid movement, the ecstatic pooch barks and jumps with joy while greeting her much-missed owner.

American astronaut Christina Koch received numerous accolades from her record-breaking, 328-day spaceflight and then a healthy dose of doggy love upon her return home, according a video she posted on social media on Thursday. Koch, 41, said in the Twitter post. "Glad she remembers me after a year!"

Koch returned to earth last week after spending 328 days working on the International Space Station, which is the longest space mission ever for a woman.

Koch also revealed that she returned home to Galveston in Texas to a kitchen filled with her favorite food - chips, and salsa - and the first thing she did was relieve her cravings for it.

In the adorable video, her dog LBD, which stands for Little Brown Dog, is seen eagerly waiting for her. But perhaps one of Koch's most most important contributions was that she herself was the subject of study while in space.

Side-effects include a significant loss of bone density and a drop in muscle mass, Business Insider reported past year.
