Caught on camera: Man being placed under arrest body slams OH officer

Grove City Police Department

The incident was caught on video.

Michael Harris, a linebacker for Eastern Kentucky University, is seen on the video in a parking lot near what appears to be his SUV.

It took three officers to subdue Harris, who was eventually arrested and charged with one felony count of assault, and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest. He has been suspended from all team and football-related activities at this time.

An employee at a logistics and engineering business in Grove City, Ohio called the police after Michael Harris, 19, refused to leave and started acting aggressively toward staff members. "When the facts are established, and the investigation complete, Eastern Kentucky University and EKU Athletics will decide how to move forward responsibly".

Harris - as a redshirt freshman at Auburn a year ago - was a four-star recruit from Tucker, Georgia, and was the 15th-ranked outside linebacker according to ESPN.

Officers responding to the scene believed that Harris was intoxicated and did not know where he was.

Ex-Sarah Lawrence Student's Dad Faces Sex Abuse Charges
Lawrence Ray "exploited and abused young women and men emotionally, physically, and sexually", said U.S. attorney Geoffrey Berman. Berman, the USA attorney for the Southern District of NY , who said Ray was arrested Tuesday in New Jersey.

When officers arrived on the scene ... things took a awful turn - because cops say after they confronted Harris, it got violent.

Harris recently transferred to Eastern Kentucky, after starting his college career at Auburn.

Harris swatted the officer's hand away, which resulted in placing Harris under arrest.

Harris pushes the policeman off of him but keeps his hands up and proceeds to walk toward his vehicle. An additional officer comes over to help.
