Trump's NASA budget sets path for 2024 moon landing

Marshall Space Flight Center satisfied with 2021 fiscal budget proposal

Dream Job Alert! The world's premier space agency NASA is recruiting people for its new mission.

NASA released the statement, saying that the agency will accept applications from March 2 to March 31 for the next class of artemis generation astronauts.

The basic requirements to be a NASA astronaut is to have USA citizenship and a master's degree in a STEM field including engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science, or mathematics, from an accredited institution.

And, assuming you meet all of those requirements, you'll have to pass NASA's long-duration spaceflight physical.

Their current astronaut corp has 48 souls, with room for more as expeditions involving multiple destinations that will propel exploration forward as part of Artemis missions and beyond.

"For the bunch of profoundly gifted ladies and men, we will contract to join our different space traveler corps, and it's a fantastic time in human spaceflight to be a space explorer".

China sees rising recovery rate of COVID-19 patients
In Japan, 39 new cases were confirmed on a cruise ship under quarantine at Yokohama, bringing the total to 174 on the ship. Health officials reported 14,840 new cases-reversing several days of declines in official new diagnoses in the province.

NASA is now celebrating its 20th year of being a part of the International Space Station (ISS) and in low- earth orbit this year.

NASA wants to get to the South Pole of the moon by 2024 - and it wants to send a woman there for the first time, along with another man.

"This is a 21st century budget worthy of 21st century space exploration", said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine during a speech Monday.

NASA says it will select its new class of candidates in mid-2021. Fields such as engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science, or mathematics, from an accredited institution, will be considered. Alternatively, those applying can have completed a doctor of medicine or osteopathic medicine degree, or two years of towards a Ph.D. program in a related science, technology, engineering or math field.

The candidates will need at least two years' professional experience, or, in the case of pilots, 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time.

After getting a record number of uses during its last recruitment - more than 18,000 individuals applied for the 2017 class - NASA has expanded its qualification prerequisites and added another progression to the application procedure. Since then, more than 500 astronauts have been involved in more than 200 space missions. With Artemis, NASA aims to build a sustainable human presence on the lunar surface after the landing in 2024.
