Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Phone Is Said to Launch on February 14th, Here's All the Info

Less than six months after the release of the Galaxy Fold, the South Korean electronics giant will launch the brand-new Galaxy Z Flip later this week. We'll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.

The Galaxy Flip Z Thom Browne Edition not only includes a Pebble Gray version of the phone with the Thom Browne stripes and branding but also includes a Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Buds+ in the same colors.

But the Z Flip is still capable of HDR10+ recording, and benefits from Samsung's new (and household) AI software modes - our favourite of which is Single Take. When folded up, the OLED display is a clever little 1.1 inch screen that shows notifications which you can quickly tap on, which will directly open up the apps once you fold open the phone. We reckon it'll be worth the wait, though.

When fully opened, the Z Flip is created to be a full phone with its 6.7 inch OLED display.

Amazon retains dominant position in smart speaker market, despite rising competition
With a built-in camera, you can also video call friends and family via the Alexa app or with other Echo display devices. Some 70 percent of the United States smart speaker will use Amazon Echo in 2020, close to last year's 72.9 percent.

There are some unique camera features, especially in the high-end Samsung S20 Ultra. In other words, buying the funky, foldable phone rather than the "standard" flagship means you get a wider but lower-resolution screen.

Unveiled at the company's Unpacked event in San Francisco on Tuesday morning, the Z Flip will go on sale this Friday, February 14.

And while the Galaxy Ultra is one of the most expensive phones out there (folding handsets excluded), the specs prove why.

The S20 line-up has also been blessed with bigger batteries - between 4000mAh and 5000mAh, compared to the Z Flip's 3300mAh juice pack - and is available with more integrated storage (up to 512GB), too. "We can release new foldable phones at an opportune time when there are enough services available on those phones and provide needed values for consumers".
