Ornstein reveals Arsenal in ‘advanced talks’ over PSG’s Kurzawa

Arsenal Transfer News Gunners in talk with versatile PSG defender over a January move

The Sun have claimed Arsenal are looking to bring 27-year-old Kurzawa to The Emirates, given Sead Kolasinac is now sidelined with a thigh problem - joining summer signing Kieran Tierney on the sidelines, who dislocated his shoulder.

Leonardo has also been keeping an eye on the situation of Juve's Mattia De Sciglio, who can play at right or left-back, and could come into play if the Serie A leaders firm up their interest in Meunier as contract extension talks with the Belgium global have slowed.

Kurzawa has won three Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France crowns and a trio of Coupe de la Ligue trophies at PSG, having joined from rivals Monaco in 2015. The 13-time France cap has struggled for game time.

While it is far from a guarantee of a move to the Premier League for Kurzawa, a change of agent is a move often used by players to engineer a new contract or transfer.

Given Arsenal's injury situation at left-back they consider this deal a no-brainer.

Manchester United Pushing For Bruno Fernandes To Miss Lisbon Derby
While Fernandes is expected to play for Sporting when they take on Benfica on Friday , a transfer is reportedly but a formality. Indeed, Pogba's absence has dried up goals from the midfielders as well.

"They are wingers or central midfielders and could we afford to lose full-backs?"

Arteta has said no arrivals are close but did hint at his priorities when asked about his slim resources at full-back - which extend to the right-back position given Héctor Bellerín's problems and the season-ending injury sustained by Calum Chambers last month.

"We have a lot of issues at the back, it can happen between December and January, it is very common".

"We have to put 11 players out on the pitch on Saturday and I am sure we will".

Head of football Raul Sanllehi has been leading the talks with PSG for Kurzawa, who has only emerged as a target for Arsenal in recent weeks.
