Sania Mirza Makes Winning Return To Tennis, Shares Adorable Picture With Son

Teaming with Nadiia Kichenok to defeat Oksana Kalashnikova and Miyu Kato 2-6 7-6 (3) [10-3], Sania advanced to the quarter-finals in a nail-biting game that ended in a tiebreak after one set each.

In the quarter-final, Mirza and Kichenok will take on United States of America pair Vania King and Christina McHale.

The Indo-Ukrainian couple will compete against Americans Vania King and Christina McHale next. Sania and Kitchennock pulled the match to the tiebreaker by winning this set amidst a tough match.

After clinching the win, Sania Mirza shared an adorable picture with her son, in which she can be seen giving a high-five to him.

It will be Mirza's first Grand Slam tournament since the birth of her son, Izhaan, in Oct 2018.
