Bernie Sanders Takes Lead in Historically Decisive Poll

The ad campaign is part of a push from progressives to point out what they view as disqualifying factors in the two candidates' campaigns for president. After days of growing tension between the campaigns and multiple reports based on anonymous sources, Warren confirmed Monday night that Sanders had told her during a 2018 dinner at her home that he didn't think a woman could win the presidency, the New York Times reports.

Sanders, a USA senator from Vermont, told CNN it was "ludicrous" that he would tell Warren a woman could not win.

As Sanders says now, "Do I believe a woman can win in 2020? Of course. After all, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 3 million votes in 2016".

Kristin Orthman, Warren's communications director, initially declined to comment to CNN. "He disagreed", she said in the statement.

"Two people with knowledge of the conversation at the 2018 dinner at Warren's home told The Washington Post that Warren brought up the issue by asking Sanders whether he believed a woman could win", the report said.

In a video released Tuesday, the Sanders campaign fact-checked their own claims about Biden, including that the former Vice President as a senator led the effort to invade Iraq in 2003 and voted for the NAFTA trade agreement, showing statements Biden has made throughout his career proving Sanders's statements true.

Arrests in downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752
The plane, with 176 people aboard, was mistakenly downed on Wednesday morning by the IRGC air defense system. Wounded peopled were being carried and men who seemed to be security personnel ran as they gripped rifles.

However, Ms Warren has now accused of Mr Sanders of sexism, after she claimed that he told her a woman could not defeat Donald Trump in 2020. Some 20 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers said Sanders was their first choice in the race. "I know Bernie is in the race for the same reason", Warren continued. National opinion polls show Warren in the top tier but trailing Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden. Kamala Harris (D-CA), former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, and Sen. And a lot could change, because just 40% of respondents to the Register/CNN/Mediacom survey said their minds are made up about which candidate to support on caucus night on February 3.

His team insists he's well positioned to win Iowa and New Hampshire, so perhaps it's fitting that Sanders is looking like a top target heading into the debate. "This is the last debate before the caucus and so candidates may be trying to distinguish themselves and separate themselves from the field".

Several Democrats refunded donations from Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein after accusations of sexual harassment became public.

It was the first poll in several months to show Sanders with a lead in Iowa, with the results seeming to reflect the impact on the Democratic campaign of rising popular antiwar sentiment.

"Among younger voters (age 18-44), Sanders (45%) has much more support than Warren (25%) and Biden (12%)", the PPIC noted, "while voters age 45 and older favor Biden (32%) over Warren (22%) and Sanders (15%)". A lot of Sanders supporters latched onto that message and accused Warren of allowing or even encouraging her staff to use smear tactics against him.

The poll reported a margin of error of 6.5 percentage points among the 530 respondents. Kamala Harris (D-CA) suspended her campaign "not because of any criteria that the DNC set", Perez said that he takes "a back seat to no one in my commitment to diversity and inclusion".
