Daniel Jones may miss Monday Night Football against Eagles due to injury

New York Giants quarterbacks Eli Manning and Daniel Jones warm up during an NFL football practice Monday

It was reported earlier today that Daniel Jones is now dealing with a high-ankle sprain which means Manning is "likely" to play in the Giants upcoming Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jones did not miss a play in the loss to the Packers on Sunday due to the injury.

Jones was in a walking boot on Wednesday, but Shurmur notes the sprain is mild and compared it to the injury running back Saquon Barkley had earlier in the season that sidelined him for three games.

As a matter of fact, there's also a chance that Manning could end up being the starter for the rest of the season, and that's because Jones is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that now has him in a walking boot. There has been speculation that he would retire at the end of this season after losing the starter's job to Jones. Monday also would have been the first time Daniel Jones played against NFC East rival the Philadelphia Eagles.

Biden Campaign's "World Is Laughing at Donald Trump" Video Wins Viral Moment
Others warned the ad would only inspire a similar video from the Trump campaign centred on Mr Biden's numerous gaffes. But less than an hour after Air Force One delivered Trump back to the US on Wednesday night, Biden dropped his ad.

But since that game is still two weeks away, the main focus for the Eagles right now is on Monday's meeting with the Giants since they can't afford to lose another favorable matchup like the Dolphins.

In his rookie season, Daniel Jones is completing 61.6% of his passes and averaging 237.7 yards per game while throwing 18 touchdowns this season and rushing for two more. Through two games, the two-time Super Bowl victor threw for 556 yards on 56-for-89 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

It sounds like Eli Manning is back in the saddle as the Giants' starting quarterback.
