Schiff sends sharp warning to Americans that don't care

Pelosi, once reluctant to engage in a strictly party-line impeachment proceeding, is now leading colleagues to a likely vote after a House investigation found that Trump seriously misused the power of his office to seek foreign interference in the USA election and then obstructed Congress in its efforts to investigate.

"If you look at impeachment, the word impeachment, here there was nothing wrong, nothing done wrong", he said.

Turley also stated that it would be an "abuse of power" in his opinion to impeach the president over the ongoing Ukrainian scandal.

Although the report excludes direct language prompting for the execution of the third presidential impeachment in United States history, it does allow for the next step to occur, hearings inside the Democrat lead House Judiciary Committee chaired by Rep.

Those damning facts became undeniable with the release of the rough transcript of Trump's infamous July 25 telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and they were further buttressed in subsequent weeks by a dramatic parade of witnesses before the House Intelligence Committee.

Nadler was at the forefront of Democratic oversight of the administration after special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election was released and the Judiciary Committee held a high-profile hearing with Mueller himself.

Neither Trump nor his attorneys will participate in Wednesday's impeachment hearing. The Judiciary Committee is nearly twice as large in terms of members and packed with showhorses on both sides of the aisle seeking to score points for the cameras.

Democrats say the Republican president misused the power of his office and obstructed Congress' investigation.

Despite that campaign, several current and former officials braved the president's wrath and testified to the multifaceted effort to sabotage a policy of support for Ukraine that Trump theoretically backed.

North Korea warns US of an unwelcome ‘Christmas gift’
The official also reportedly said, "it is entirely up to the US what Christmas gift it will select to get". He was apparently alluding to the North's suspension of nuclear and long-range missile tests since 2017.

"You can have a report that goes through twenty articles that were investigated, but only one or two are brought to a vote", said a second aide to a House Judiciary Committee Democrat, who described the proposal as having a "one-page summary" of articles of impeachment serving as the cover to a more comprehensive report.

"The framers would identify President Trump's conduct as exactly the "high crimes and misdemeanors" in the Constitution", Mr. Gerhardt said.

"Obstruction of justice, I think, is too clear not to include" in impeachment articles, Clyburn said. We may be witnessing, unfortunately, their erosion.

Testifying for Republicans will be Jonathan Turley of The George Washington University Law School.

"The Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility", she said.

"The fact that we can easily transfer the Articles of Impeachment against President Nixon to the actions of this president speaks volumes".

Wednesday's hearing marked a turning point in the impeachment inquiry of Trump. Zoe Lofgren of California and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas and Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, who served as a House manager during the Senate's impeachment trial.

A motion by U.S. Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R-Peters, to subpoena the whistleblower failed when members of the House Judiciary Committee, voting on party lines, moved to table his motion and adjourn.
