Manchester United target signs new contract at his club amid interests

Richarlison- Richarlison on verge of signing new five-year deal with Everton

Richarlison has signed a new contract with Everton - and some of the club's supporters on Twitter are thrilled with the news.

The transfer allowed him to reunite with Marco Silva and while his team have been inconsistent, the 22-year-old has shone, netting his 20th Everton goal in 50 starts against Leicester on Sunday.

"This was the club which gave me the opportunity to show my football".

"I intend to be here a long time".

Richarlison has scored six goals in 19 appearances for Brazil, with all his appearances for his national side coming after his move to the Toffees.

The Toffees are one of 11 clubs who have managed only four wins out of 14 matches, but their eight defeats have left them one spot above the relegation zone with 14 points.

Bigger European nations languished well behind in the rankings , with Britain in 14th place, Germany 20th and France 23rd. The results were recorded in Pisa tests run by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

"I go out and put my life on the line for them".

The Everton manager said on Richarlison being linked with many clubs, "I believe it is not just Manchester United".

Director of football Marcel Brands revealed on Friday that they were close to finalising a new deal for the £40m signing from Watford.

And while the player has credited Silva for helping him develop, Richarlison isn't resting on his laurels. It's us on the pitch and we are looking to help him as much as possible because Marco Silva is an excellent person.

British media reported Silva's position would be discussed by the club's hierarchy on Monday, two days before the Merseyside derby at Premier League leaders Liverpool.

"I need to continue focusing and being happy here and I think I have made the right decision in extending the contract".
