Following separation from the second stage, the core booster will be landing on Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship Of Course I Still Love You (OCISLY).

Privately owned SpaceX, also known as Space Exploration Technologies Corp, was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, who is also a co-founder of electric auto maker Tesla Inc.

The Arabsat 6A Satellite - the last of Arabsat's sixth generation satellites - was successfully launched yesterday morning by Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon Heavy, from Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA.

What is all the more incredible about this engineering effort, however, is that the world's largest rocket does not just launch into space.

Until SpaceX came along, boosters were directly thrown into the ocean after use.

Liftoff with Heavy's new military-certified Falcon 9 engines was crucial in the race with Boeing-Lockheed venture United Launch Alliance and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin as Musk's SpaceX, working to flight-prove its rocket fleet one mission at a time, aims to clinch a third of all U.S. National Security Space missions - coveted military contracts worth billions. But the preferred method remains NASA's own Space Launch System mega rocket - if it can be ready by then.

Chris Petersen steps down at Washington, Jimmy Lake named head coach
Jimmy is a great teacher of the game and his track record of developing young men both on and off the field speaks for itself. He left after only one season and eventually wound up on Petersen's staff at Boise State as a defensive backs coach.

A Falcon Heavy rocket lofts Arabsat's 6A satellite from Kennedy Space Centre.

This is the same launched astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin took off from towards the Moon in 1969.

SpaceX will try again Thursday evening.

The satellite SpaceX launched on Wednesday will update satellite coverage for Arabsat, which is based in Riyadh and delivers hundreds of television channels and radio stations to homes across the Middle East, Europe and North Africa.

Falcon Heavy is not expected to fly almost as often as its smaller counterpart, which has completed more than 20 missions since last February. Last year's test flight put a sports vehicle - Musk's own Tesla convertible - into space.

The sports auto and its dummy pilot, dubbed Starman, are now cruising through space on an incredible voyage.
