'Why would I want to leave Leicester?' - Brendan Rodgers on Arsenal links

Arsenal are considering making a move for Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers is reportedly Arsenal's preferred choice after Unai Emery was sacked on Friday, with speculation claiming the former Liverpool and Celtic boss has a £14million release clause.

'I've mentioned my taxi ride with him before.

Since he took over in February, Leicester's form has been nothing short of spectacular, with 16 wins and four draws from their 25 league games under the 46-year-old former Liverpool and Celtic boss who now can do no wrong.

Asked whether he would remain at Leicester for the long-term after Sunday's victory, Rodgers told the BBC: 'Yeah, very much so.

However, now he is someone who people are taking very seriously and the work he is doing at Leicester speaks for itself.

"I made a change eight or nine months ago, I came into here and I've been so happy since I've come into here and I've been so happy to come into here to work with the players, we still have a lot of work to do". This is an ambition to come here and help the club arrive into the top six.

Jio, Vodafone, Airtel announce new tariff plans "to cover losses"
Among these, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are said to have recorded cumulative losses standing at Rs 74,000 crore quarterly. The company will raise the price of Rs 199 unlimited plan, which offers 1.5 Gb data per day, by about 25 per cent to Rs 248.

Having lost defensive lynchpin Harry Maguire for around £80 million (RM431 million) to Manchester United, his understudy Soyuncu has seamlessly slotted into the back line and has played every minute in the league this season. The club has been first class with me.

Rodgers said of the rumours regarding the position at the Emirates: "I have a contract here until 2022".

"I've been very fortunate in my career to work with some brilliant clubs and great institutions". It is all hypothetical, these types of situations.

Arsenal are weighing up replacements for Emery after placing Freddie Ljungberg in charge on an interim basis. "I gave an honest answer, which was based around probably most managers have something in their contracts, and by all accounts that "opened the door" for something".

Arteta, Mauricio Pochettino, Patrick Vieira, Max Allegri and Nuno Espirito Santo are among those also being considered for the role.
