I'm the more skilled boxer, says Ruiz ahead of Joshua rematch

Ruiz Jr has suffered only one defeat in 34 fights, losing a majority decision to Joseph Parker in 2016.

Ruiz, who was born in the United States but fights as a Mexican, caused one of boxing's biggest upsets in NY in June when he handed Joshua a first defeat to win the WBA, IBF and WBO crowns in NY.

"We've got to see where he's at because all the pressure is on him".

Ruiz knocked down Joshua four times in their bout in June but says the 30-year-old will adopt a more cautious approach in the Diriyah Arena.

Coming into the rematch both men have trained ferociously for the contest and could very well both come in at career best condition at Friday's weigh-ins. "Training, focus, sleep. It's a harsh way of explaining it, but you have to have the mindset". Being pressed forces you to keep thinking, and that mental pressure will drain you every bit as fast as the physical pressure, if not more. "If he does the same as last time, the result will be the same".

The victor of that (should) by all accounts take on the victor of Ruiz vs Joshua 2 in a super fight before 2020 is out.

"At 6ft 6in, you must use that jab". "I don't think he's ever fought a short guy that pressures, and is pretty slick".

At least 10 animals killed in OH wildfire park fire
It will remain closed Friday as authorities investigate the incident and the staff mourns the loss. Firefighters from Danbury Township, Catawba Island and Port Clinton all responded to the blaze.

But Barry warned the BBC there could be some scars for Joshua who suffered his first and only loss to Ruiz and hasn't fought since.

The former WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion said he has the same "lockdown" attitude he had as a youngster after almost going to jail - when he prayed for a second chance at life - into his preparations.

"The stakes could not be any higher for Joshua, his trainer Robert McCracken, for DAZN, and Eddie Hearn is under huge pressure".

"He saw something that he's never seen before", Ruiz added. Sometimes fighters lose, it makes them weaker.

"I know exactly what it's like when you have a lot of muscle, you want to stand there and trade but I don't think that's his style". When he had Ruiz down, all he had to do was take his time but he ran in with the wrong punches and put himself there to be hurt.

Joshua has also spoken of his sparring this year, stating that it's been the best way to replicate what will happen on December 7. "I had a major court case and I prayed: 'God, if you give me a second chance at life I will make all the changes in the world.' When I beat that court case, I got into boxing and I focused".
