Israel targets Hamas sites after rocket fire

An Iron Dome battery in southern Israel near the border with the Gaza Strip

Gaza medical officials said 34 Palestinians had been killed in the two days of fighting, nearly half of them civilians. By mid-morning, no more projectiles had been fired from Gaza.

The ongoing Israeli aggression for three days has so far claimed the lives of 34 Palestinians and injured almost 120 others, in addition to causing massive destruction of homes and property. No injuries were reported.

It also said that this came as a result of their efforts to disclose the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian civilians and civil targets.

Early Saturday, Hamas allegedly fired at least two rockets toward the Negev Desert city of Beersheba. Israel's army had accused Baha Abu al-Ata of multiple recent attacks, calling him a "ticking bomb".

Among the targets attacked were a military training camp and a military compound that served the terrorist organization's naval force.

Heavy rain expected tomorrow, warns latest weather forecast
A yellow Met Office weather warning is also in place for North Wales and across the north of England for high winds. Police in the town of Ystradgynlais warned people to only travel in the snow if necessary.

No group immediately assumed responsibility for the rockets, but previous rockets have been launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, in retaliation for the killing of one of its top commander in an Israeli strike on Tuesday. The Israeli military said the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted 90 percent of rockets headed toward residential areas and 60 percent landed in open fields.

But it has so far been precarious, with fire coming from both sides on Friday after the agreement went into effect. Since 2008, Israel and Palestinian militants have fought three wars there.

"Throughout the operation, we of course distinguished between Hamas and Islamic Jihad".

The statement added: "Hamas will bear the consequences for actions against Israeli civilians".

Israeli jets fired more than eight missiles at targets and agricultural land northwest of Gaza city and Beit Lahiya.
