Arizona congressman’s tweets raise Epstein conspiracy theory

Paul Gosar is one of the most conservative members of Congress

According to Politico, "Gosar has been a vocal ally of Trump, and his tweets voiced his support for the president in the face of House Democrats' impeachment inquiry". The first letter of each tweet spelled out "Epstein didn't kill himself".

In a statement to Fox News, Gosar stressed that his tweets were all "substantive" but wasn't shy about having some more fun in the process with some equally cryptic messages.

It's an undeniably freaky moment - it's rare for a meme bouncing around the dark corners of the internet like this one to reach the halls of Congress, and even rarer for a congressman to deploy a meme in such a manner.

From the "f" in "sooner or later", Gosar then seemingly worked his blueprint attend, ending with "e" for Epstein, spelling the message about the gradual billionaire intercourse perv's demise backwards. "The longer this circus continues the clearer it becomes that @realDonaldTrump has done absolutely nothing wrong".

House Intelligence Committee holds day 2 of impeachment inquiry hearings
Even as she spoke, back at the White House, where aides said Trump did not plan to watch the proceedings, Trump was tweeting . Nunes complained that Democrats are relying on hearsay testimony from witnesses who only know of Trump's actions second-hand.

"All of the tweets pertained to testimony from today's hearing. 1 was okay", he wrote.

Those ties along with failed security measures at the prison where Epstein died have fueled speculation that - contrary to the New York City medical examiner's determination - the convicted pedophile did not take his own life.

The morbid acrostic, coincidental or not, reflects a repeated conspiracy theory-turned-meme over the death of the financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in August while he was awaiting his federal trial for sex trafficking minors.
