Henry Thomas star of ‘E.T. the Extra Terrestrial,’ arrested for DUI in Oregon

Actor Henry Thomas, known for his role as 10-year-old Elliott in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", was arrested for DUI in Oregon.

According to Tualatin police, authorities found Thomas passed out behind the wheel of his auto after they responded to a call from a concerned passerby about a suspicious vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, they found Thomas passed out behind the wheel of the non moving vehicle. FOX 12 OR notes the actor was released this morning and is set to be arraigned November 1. Thomas was released from police custody around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Thomas famously played "Elliott" in Steven Spielberg's massively popular 1982 movie E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.

However, he always saw the breakout role as a "fluke", having told the Daily Maillast year that his career wasn't all plain sailing from there. "But he never wanted to make them".
