The news about Robert Forster demise has left Hollywood in shock.

Veteran actor Robert Forster, best known for his role in Jackie Brown and most recently in Last Man Standing and the Breaking Bad movie El Camino, died Friday at his home in Los Angeles after battling brain cancer, EW has confirmed.

Forster also starred in the 1969 film "Medium Cool", in which he played TV cameraman John Casselli, and he was in the 2001 David Lynch film "Mulholland Drive" playing Detective McKnight. I love you my friend.

"I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood", Cranston wrote in the tweet.

"Dally Has a Lover" put him on the radar of Darryl Zanuck, who signed him to a studio contract. Over 100 film and television appearances later, the actor became one of the most respected figures in the industry.

His Oscar nomination was for his work in Jackie Brown.

Details of a memorial service have not yet been announced.

He is survived by his four children Bobby, Elizabeth, Kate and Maeghan; his grandchildren Tess, Liam Jack and Olivia; and longtime partner Denise Grayson. He has two more projects scheduled to be released this year, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and Werewolf.
