Todd Gurley is doubtful, Aqib Talib out for Rams vs. 49ers

Clay Matthews #52 of the Los Angeles Rams stands on the sideline during the game against the Cleveland Browns at First Energy Stadium

In the midst of a two-game losing streak, the Rams might be without a pivotal piece in a crucial divisional game this weekend.

Judging by the Los Angeles Rams injury report, it appears Todd Gurley is unlikely to play in Sunday's clash against the San Francisco 49ers. He is listed as day-to-day.

The Rams announced the news on Wednesday, ahead of Sunday's National Football League showdown with the high-flying San Francisco 49ers.

"It kind of caught us all off guard", coach Sean McVay said, via ESPN.

It's not a secret that many National Football League players are unhappy about how the NCAA conducts business.

Reported Sexually Transmitted Diseases Reach Epidemic levels in California
Antibiotics can cure syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, but the diseases must be caught early and not left untreated. The CDC reported newborn deaths from syphilis increased 22 percent, from 77 death in 2017 to 94 deaths in 2018.

Gurley suffered the left thigh contusion in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Rams have a lot of confidence in him, McVay said Friday, and feel he'll be able to step up in Talib's absence.

If Gurley is unable to play, expect Malcolm Brown and rookie Darrell Henderson to carry the load at running back for the Rams. The running back is averaging career-lows in carries per game (12.8), rush yards per game (54), touches per game (15.6), and scrimmage yards per game (67.6).

But instead of jumping too far ahead down the road, all the focus for Kupp at the moment is on Sunday's meeting with the 49ers, as the wideout will look to extend his impressive streak, and put the Rams in great position to improve to 4-2.
