The two new deaths bring the total number of vaping-related deaths in the state to three since September 6, according to the Indiana State Department of Health. The CDC also reported 26 deaths had been confirmed in 21 states, including one fatality from CT.

Investigators have not linked the cases to any specific product or compound, but have pointed to vaping oils containing THC (tetrahydrocannabidinol, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis or marijuana) as being especially risky.

The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed Wednesday that an older woman in north Texas died last week from a lung disease associated with using electronic cigarettes.

In addition to the two new deaths, state officials are investigating 75 cases of severe vaping-related lung injuries, which is double the same number from a month ago.

"I think there will be multiple causes and potentially more than one root cause", Dr. Anne Schuchat of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told journalists.

Another 58% said they used nicotine-containing products with or without THC.

They also said Mr Parnas played a role in a successful effort to have Mr Trump remove the United States ambassador to Ukraine. Kelly Sadler says the committee takes its legal obligations seriously and that it will "scrupulously comply with the law".

All patients have reported a history of using e-cigarette, or vaping, products, according to the CDC. The CDC has also tracked 1,299 cases of vaping-related lung injury.

Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba Group Holding Ltd said it will stop selling e-cigarette components in the United States.

13 per cent reported exclusive use of nicotine-containing products.

The health minister in Nova Scotia says his government is considering changing regulations to ban flavoured vaping products.

The CDC says people should consider refraining from vaping, especially with products including THC.

"We cannot stand by and watch a new generation of Canadians become dependent on nicotine or be exposed to products that could have significant negative consequences for their health", the Council of Chief Medical Officers of Health said in a statement.
