MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi puts an end to retirement rumours; see tweet

MS Dhoni

The epic match was a virtual quarter-final match played on March 27, 2016 between India and Australia in World T20.

India's squad for three Tests: Virat Kohli (Captain), Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (Wicket-keeper), Wriddhiman Saha (Wicket-keeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Shubman Gill.

After the dismissal of Yuvraj Singh in the 14th over, captain Dhoni, one of the quickest players in between the wickets, walked in the middle to join Kohli. A rumour started spreading that the wicket-keeper batsman is retiring from global cricket today and has called for a press meet this evening at 7pm.

Dhoni took a sabbatical from cricket after India's 50-over World Cup campaign ended in the semi-finals. However, the former India skipper left everyone surprised by not only deciding against retiring but also taking a two-month break.

Consequently, he could not make it to the ODI or the T20I squads for the just-concluded tour of West Indies. Amidst all these, Kohli's tweet only served as a fuel to the fire.

Donald Trump pushes back increase in Chinese import tariffs
The long-running trade war between China and the USA has seen them swap tariffs on goods worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Exports to the US were off 16% while imports were off 22%.

Following anticipation through the day on Thursday that MS Dhoni would drop the bombshell that he would hang up his gloves in a press conference in the evening, Dhoni's wife Sakshi responded to such speculations on Twitter.

"No update on MS Dhoni's retirement, the news is incorrect", Prasad was quoted as saying to the reporters.

India are all set to host South Africa for a three-match Twenty20 global (T20I) series starting on Sunday, followed by the Test series.

Meanwhile, Team India's series against South Africa will start with the T20I leg on September 15 in Dharamsala.
