StarBoard: New Apple Glasses details emerge in iOS 13 code

The image (below) shows a circular tag with a white or light silver background and darker centered Apple logo; it mirrors one published in early June by 9to5Mac, though it's still yet to be seen whether this is a placeholder image or an accurate depiction of the actual accessory. The report notes that there will "safe locations" where the user will not be notified if the item is left in these locations.

Clearly, despite the report earlier this summer that Apple had canned its AR glasses development, work is still ongoing, and relates to its iOS 13 system, which will be released for iPhone and iPad later in September, along with the new iPhone 11. It is possible that Garta is one of several prototypes under the T288 umbrella that Apple has under its sleeve.

The accessory will reportedly make an audible alert if summoned in the Find My app, helping the user locate the lost item. The internal build of iOS 13 includes assets for a 3D red balloon, which may be viewed through the iPhone's camera when looking for a tagged item. When you mark your device as missing and another Apple user's device is nearby, it can detect your device's Bluetooth signal and report its location to you. It's claimed users will also be able to activate an alarm or noise from the device to help them find it if it gets lost.

According to MacRumours, internal builds of iOS 13 (not yet released to the public) contain an app named "STARTester", which allows users to swap an iPhone in and out of head-mounted mode. They can message and call them to inform that their goods have been found by someone. The tracker has the codename B389, confirmed by an uncovered string of code that says, "tag your everyday items with B389 and never lose them again". The tag itself might have an option to locate the phone.

China takes cautious steps with new tariffs, leaving most to December
The extra tariffs of five percent and 10 percent were levied on 1,717 items of a total of 5,078 products originating from the US. The Chinese government has listed American imports targeted for penalties on December 15 if the U.S. tariff hikes take effect.

In addition, there is code that suggests Apple's item trackers will feature replaceable button cell batteries.

Apple appears to be readying a tracker device similar to those popularised by Tile.

Other details continued within the internal build reportedly include "StarBoard mode" with "AR" elements - e.g.
