Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles on Monday broke her silence following the recent arrest of her estranged brother, who was charged with murder in a New Year's Eve triple homicide in Ohio.

The gymnast says there's nothing she can do to "heal anyone's pain" but gave her "condolences" to everyone involved.

Biles, 22, the most decorated American gymnast of all time, also asked for privacy as her family deals "with our pain".

According to the police report (via Cleveland.com), Biles-Thomas is accused of shooting and killing Devaughn Gibson, 23, DelVaunte Johnson, 19, and Toshon Banks, 21, after a fight broke out at the party and several people were asked to leave.

'Missing you a lil extra today, ' Biles wrote in her caption under a photo of the two of them together.

The 24-year-old, who serves in the US Army, is being held in prison in Georgia, where he was arrested last week.

Police said the shooting occurred just before midnight on December 31, after "an uninvited group" walked into a party at an Airbnb rental in Cleveland and "an altercation ensued".

Biles took to Twitter on Monday to address the crimes that her brother Tevin Biles-Thomas was accused of, which rocked social media last week. Most recently, she won the all-around gold medal during Women's Senior competition at the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships on August 11. He is now jailed in southern Georgia but will be extradited to Cleveland ahead of his arraignment on September 13.

Grandparents Nellie and Ron Biles adopted Simone and her younger sister, and Biles-Thomas and another sister were adopted by Ron Biles' sister. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, September 13, at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

She will be a heavy favorite next year in Tokyo's 2020 Olympics.
