Prince Harry Launches Eco-Tourism Project After Private Jet Criticism

Meghan Markle’s Father Thomas Markle Reveals Grief Over Not Meeting Grandson Archie Harrison

The prince said he spent 99 percent of his life travelling the world by commercial aircraft and would only take a private jet when circumstances called for it, and he would offset the carbon footprint.

Harry and Meghan were previously defended by their friend Sir Elton John, who revealed he had covered the cost of their private flight to his home in Nice and also made a donation to balance out the extra carbon emissions it caused.

Prince Harry has announced the launch of a global sustainable travel initiative, dubbed Travalyst. And it's generally as simple as that. He said: "There was never any problem between Meghan and me until recently".

The "Travalyst" scheme is created to improve conservation, environmental protection and expand local community economic development to help the travel industry become a force for good, Buckingham Palace said.

Per theNew York Times, the organisation will strive to educate people about environmentally sustainable travel and "make it easier for them to understand whether their own travels are helping or hurting the planet and who is benefiting from travel dollars". We're very curious to see what Travalyst will do as it sets out to royally shake up the travel industry. "Bringing companies, consumers and communities together is our best chance to protect destinations and ecosystems for future generations".

The Jonas brothers visited a sick fan in the hospital
Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers band are travelling around the U.S. for their Happiness Begins Tour . "YOU did this. Shortly after she shared the cute post, though, her followers began to troll her for saying Nick is 27.

Among issues the coalition will focus on is improving on-the-ground travel and tourism entrepreneurship in local communities.

He ended with: "So today, after two years of behind-the-scenes conversations and planning, we're going to start with the tourism industry". According to the World Bank, the number of trips taken annually by people around the globe has more than doubled since 2000.

Last year, there were 1.4 billion worldwide trips and travel and tourism generated US$8.8 trillion (S$12.3 trillion) to the global economy, Buckingham Palace said while consumers were becoming keen to ensure their travel was more sustainable and had less impact on the environment. In 10 years, the number of tourists visiting countries in emerging markets will reach one billion annually, comprising 57 per cent of all global trips, the United Nations agency said. Over the last 12 months, 10 million travelers using Skyscanner selected the lowest Carbon dioxide emission flight option.

The couple also reportedly chartered a private plane to Ibiza for the Duchess of Sussex's birthday celebrations, while Prince Harry is also said to have flown by helicopter to speak at a Google Summer Camp in Italy about the effects of climate change.
