Man angry about Popeyes chicken sandwich shortage pulls gun on restaurant worker

Guy Sues Popeyes For Running Out Of Chicken Sandwiches

The group allegedly attempted to rush inside the restaurant while demanding the chicken sandwich at gunpoint.

A restaurant worker was able to lock the front door in time to prevent the group entering the chain, and they soon fled from the scene with empty stomachs.

High demand for the sandwich grew to a fever pitch across the nation as chains began posting signs on windows saying they were sold out and on limited stock.

Popeye's officially released the chicken sandwich on August 12 - calling it the chain's biggest launch in about three decades. Barr is seeking $5,000 in damages.

Britons set to protest Johnson's Brexit move
Chancellor Sajid Javid defended Johnson's decision to suspend Parliament while speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today program. The decision to prorogue Parliament prompted an angry backlash from MPs and opponents of a no-deal Brexit.

"He could have shot someone [because of] a chicken sandwich", one customer, Fredrick Taylor, told ABC13.

"I can't get happy; I have this sandwich on my mind". Police say the man with the gun had dreadlocks, face tattoos, and wore a black shirt with red sleeves. "I can't think straight", Barr stated to the Times Free Press.

But after learning Popeyes had run out of the coveted chicken sandwiches, he brandished a gun - prompting employees to run to the back of the store, a police spokesperson told FOX Business.

"Y'all. We love that you love The Sandwich", the Tuesday tweet said. Social media was abuzz following the announcement of the new sandwich, in part prompted by a tongue-in-cheek online feud with its fast-food competitor, Chick-fil-A, according to CBS News.
