Salah comforts star-struck Liverpool fan who injured nose

Mohamed Salah and Louis with a bloodied nose

Louis Fowler, an 11-year-old Liverpool fan broke his nose in an attempt to meet star footballer Mohamed Salah while chasing the striker's vehicle.

Louis Fowler, 11, crashed into a lamppost and fell to the ground with blood coming out of his nose after he and his younger brother Isaac ran beside Salah's vehicle on Saturday while waving at the Liverpool player, Sky News reported.

He said: 'I had a really bloody nose, someone took me home back to my front garden and I just saw Salah's auto by our house.

Both youngsters chased the auto containing their hero - but with Louis' attention focused squarely on his club's star player, he ran directly into a lamppost and suffered a suspected broken nose.

Footballers often inspire unswerving devotion, but one boy has felt the full force when he hit a lamp-post while running after Mohamed Salah.

'Unfortunately Louis went straight into a lamppost while running after the auto and busted his nose when he hit the floor.

Salah checked in to see if the youngster was okay and later posed for pictures, a moment Louis' stepdad, Joe, shared on social media.

Both boys said that they would "do it all over again to meet their hero", even if initial reports state that Fowler may need surgery to reset his nose.

"He loves you so much and the pain went away instantly when you came to give them a hug".

Joe said: "We were still trying to work out what had happened when Mo arrived".

He'd seen one of the boys had hurt himself and he had the decency to drive back into the close to check that he was ok.
