Star Trek actress Stephanie Niznik dead at 52

Actor Stephanie Niznik of''Everwood- A 15th Anniversary Reunion speaks onstage during the CW portion of the 2017 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour

Niznik died unexpectedly in Encino, California on June 23. The actress was not married and had no children.

For Nina Feeney, the neighbor of the Brown family, and ultimately for Dr. Andy Brown, (Treat Williams) at Everwood Niznik became a prominent figure.

While she is best known for her television work, Stephanie Niznik may be best recognized for her work in the film Star Trek: Insurrection.

Niznik also participated in volunteering and was engaged in the Four Winds Heart-centric Healing organization for kids and animal rescue. She accomplished her commencement from Duke U. with majors in theatre and Russian.

Originally in Bangor, Maine, Niznik meant to work as a geneticist before graduating in theater and Russian from the Duke University.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Niznik family at this hard time. She then began her acting career with roles in television series. In 2007 and 2008 she impersonated Jo Weller-Clarke in 13 episodes of the drama series "Life is Wild".

In 2017, Stephanie was seen with the cast of television series, Everwood. In that film, she played Trill Starfleet Ensign Kell Perim. Niznik survives by her mother, stepmother, brother and lawyer, and her niece, nephews, aunt and uncle, and Nucleus and Jake, her beloved dogs.

Friends from her time at Duke have paid heartbreaking tributes to the star, describing her as "so kind".

In addition to Wolf, Everwood guest star Brenda Strong reacted to Niznik's passing. "I. Am. In".

Stephanie isn't the only small-screen star to pass away this year.
