Sign-ups Begin for Minecraft Earth Closed Beta Alongside a New Trailer

If you're excited about the game, there is an opportunity to be a beta tester for Minecraft Earth, meaning that you can play it early.

If you're a block building junkie, then you're probably pretty excited about Minecraft Earth. However, instead of catching things in public like most AR games, players will be building in public.

The Minecraft Earth beta is almost here, and if you want to start making your blocky virtual mark on the real world as soon as possible, you'll want a quick rundown of all the details. It blew my mind when I saw it at E3, but there's more to this game than just placing and destroying blocks. Part of me would rather just be Minecraft Steve, though, just for the sake of nostalgia.

Minecraft Earth is another intriguing AR game that could make waves in the mobile market, similar to what Pokemon Go did a few years back.

Delle Donne and A’ja Wilson are All-Star captains
Laimbeer is a two-time WNBA Coach of the Year (2003, 2015), while Thibault is a three-time victor (2006, 2008, 2013). The league's coaches will vote for the 12 reserves - three guards, five frontcourt players and four utility choices.

Once you collect resources in the world you can then build using your camera on a flat surface, with different plates to choose from as you level up (which can be done by collecting Tappables).

In addition to all of this, Minecraft.net has more details on the Closed Beta.

The gameplay follows based on the location data of the users and there will be a special leaderboard for each gamer to keep an eye on the activities. It's the one associated with your Xbox Live or Microsoft account. It promised a beta launch of the game would arrive this summer season, and now, together with a brand new trailer, the company says it will launch on iOS within the next two weeks, with Android following "soon after that".

The beta version will reset your progress if you've already tried the augmented reality game. All it takes is you, your phone, and your imagination.
