Gina Miller preparing legal case to Stop Boris Johnson proroguing parliament

Hunt 'expects' Brexit by Christmas

Miller, who already took the government to court to force it to get Parliamentary approval before beginning Brexit talks, said she's assembling the same team to launch immediate legal action should Johnson try to shut down Parliament if he prevails as leader.

Businesswoman Gina Miller said she instructed her lawyers to serve notice to Conservative Party lawmaker Boris Johnson in anticipation of him becoming the next prime minister.

Speaking to Andrew Pierce on LBC, Ms Miller said: "Should Boris Johnson become Prime Minister and pursue a prorogation process, we are ready to go to court because we believe, based on the judgement in my original case, a Prime Minister can not shut down or close the doors of Parliament and bypass representative to push through a decision without scrutiny, basically".

"It would seriously undermine parliamentary sovereignty for you, as prime minister, to prorogue parliament to prevent it from considering whether to legislate to prevent a no-deal Brexit", the letter said.

He added that the "quickest way" to leave the European Union was "to send to Brussels a Prime Minister who can negotiate a deal that will get through Parliament - and I'm that person".

"That would be the end of it".

Mr Johnson said he did not think it will be necessary to suspend Parliament to drive through a no-deal Brexit against the wishes of politicians, while refusing to rule it out.

He thinks Epstein's connections to powerful people allowed him to secure such an extraordinary deal on Acosta's watch. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that his embattled labor secretary, Alexander Acosta , has resigned .

"I have never been a fan of Brexit but that is completely separate, completely different, from defending the central pillar of our Constitution", Miller told Sky News in a television interview on Sunday.

Miller was at a center of a major legal challenge two years ago when she won a landmark case in the British Supreme Court, ensuring that parliament has a meaningful vote in Britain's Brexit process. He's refused to rule out proroguing - or suspending - Parliament to fulfill that pledge.

Theresa May and husband Philip who will move out of 10 Downing Street in London in 12 days to make way for a new United Kingdom prime minister.

"That is simply not acceptable and quite frankly the British public are sick to death of this, they want to see a government now, with renewed conviction, get out there and do exactly what it said it will do, which is now to deliver Brexit".

The victor of the Conservative Party leadership race - and next prime minister - will be announced on 23 July.

It had been, she said, "incredibly frustrating" that MPs on either side of the Leave-Remain divide had "got so sort of entrenched that they just were not willing to make that compromise that would enable us to get the majority to get this through".
