Shaun Livingston not planning to retire after being waived by Warriors

Report Warriors to waive Shaun Livingston

The Golden State Warriors will waive veteran guard Shaun Livingston, but the 33-year-old is determined to continue his National Basketball Association career, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The 33-year-old, however, does not intend to retire.

The former fourth overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers has played the last five seasons with the Warriors.

"The 6'7" guard loaded with experience would be an immediate benefit to a multitude of contender hoping to shore up their roster with additional depth prior to the season. In an unbelievable comeback story, after bouncing around the league to over five different teams, Livingston eventually landed in the Bay, where he became a three-time National Basketball Association champion.

Solskjaer optimistic De Gea won't run contract down
You have to have the right players at the right price and if you look at the squad we've got now there are so many good players". They're fantastic players, there's loads of players here that I know are going to be successful at this club.

Golden State will use the waive-and-stretch provision to spread the $2 million guarantee from Livingston's 2019-20 salary over three seasons, ESPN's Bobby Marks reports. Livingston appeared in 64 games this past season, all off the bench, and averaged four points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 15.1 minutes per game.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday that Livingston was being waived.
