Kevin Spacey questioned by Scotland Yard over sexual assault allegations

Kevin Spacey questioned by Scotland Yard about U.K. sexual assault allegations

Yet, the police affirmed that the investigation continues.

Inquiries are ongoing.' Police began investigating after an inquiry by The Old Vic theatre in London revealed that 20 people had alleged they were subjected to inappropriate behaviour by Spacey.

Prosecutors charged him with sexually assaulting the then-18-year-old in a MA bar three years ago, but Spacey pleaded not guilty, and now his accuser has filed papers to voluntarily dismiss the civil suit with prejudice in Nantucket County Superior Court. Spacey's defense team wants to examine the phone itself, claiming that exculpatory evidence may have been deleted before it was given to police and prosecutors.

The news of Spacey's questioning follows on the heels of the withdrawal of a civil case against him in Nantucket on Friday.

After Rapp's allegation the Old Vic conducted an investigation into its former leader.

The report comes just days after a man, who claimed Spacey groped him at a bar in the 2016, dropped his civil case against the star.

Kevin still faces a criminal charge.

His accuser's lawyer, Mitchell Garabedian, announced in an email that the suit filed June 26 in Nantucket Superior Court has been voluntarily dismissed.

According to the court filing, the suit was dismissed "with prejudice", which means it can not be refiled. Most of the cases center on alleged assaults in the London districts of Lambeth and Westminster; one concerns an alleged incident in Gloucester, a city in the west of England.

A request for comment was sent to Spacey's attorney.

Garabedian's client, the son of Boston TV anchor Heather Unruh, alleged Spacey got him drunk and sexually assaulted him at the Club Car restaurant where the then 18-year old man worked. The judge has given them until Monday to produce the phone.
