In response, ICC conveyed their apologies and further expressed their disappointment on such actions.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released a statement condemning yesterday's incident and said that they are very much disappointed with the law enforcement officers who had assured them that there wouldn't be an repeat of such incidents.

The stylish Indian opener also equalled Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar in the total number of World Cup hundreds. They confirmed the Indian team that they will work with West Yorkshire Police and take necessary steps and hope that such incidents will not happen in the knock-out stages.
