Bruschi's family issued the following statement through the Tedy's Team Twitter account. He was immediately checked in to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he has been "recovering well" since then.

Bruschi, 46, suffered a mild stroke in February 2005, just weeks after he and the Patriots had defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX, but he recovered and played in nine games during the 2005 National Football League season. He played 13 years for the Patriots, making one Pro Bowl and winning three Super Bowls.

Trump Warns Tehran: 'Be Careful With The Threats'
France, Germany, and the United Kingdom tried unsuccessfully to convince Iran to abide by the deal without the United States. Iran shot down a USA military surveillance drone and then publicly boasted about the huge cost to the enemy.

"Thinking about my old teammate Tedy Bruschi today... wishing you a speedy recovery", he wrote, adding, "Quick review: Signs of Stroke (FAST): F..." "He recognized the warning signs immediately: arm weakness, face drooping and speech difficulties".

Bruschi was named to the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in 2013. He had a procedure to fix that hole and sat out the start of the 2005 season before returning to play in nine games that year.

He and his family later launched Tedy's Team, a running club that raises money for the American Stroke Association. "I know how mentally tough he is and you know, physically how much he works to obviously keep himself in the right type of shape".
